When we announced our plans to host an all-female weekend at Belleayre, New York, we really didn't know what to expect. But we're supremely happy to report that our trip was a great success!
Over thirty women joined us for the weekend; we took over the fantastic Roxbury Motel and enjoyed the bright, crisp days at Belleayre Mountain. The ladies were ready to hit the hill with gusto; more than a dozen girls signed up for a fun-filled lesson in the terrain park, and these girls were performing new tricks and jumps before the weekend was over!
In the evening, our parties at the lesbian-owned Public Lounge proved to be the perfect way to connect -- a whole group of gals finished the weekend with a list of new friends.
The SKI BUMS women are ambitious, and we're psyched to begin planning for 2011. A women's weekend out West, perhaps? Why not! This may have been America's first all-girl LGBT ski weekend, but we're sure it won't be our last. :)
